    Man shot to death at home on Southside identified

    UPDATE: (1:30 p.m. July 5)

    Tucson Police have identified the man shot to death in the 100 block of East Elvado Road as 31-year-old Freddy Wayne Batt, Jr.

    According to a news release from TPD, Batt was attempting to rob the residents at the home, demanding money and drugs, when an adult male who was being confronted during the robbery, produced a gun and shot him.

    The male, his girlfriend and their two infant children then fled the home and sought help.

    The investigation is ongoing.

    According to the Tucson Police Department, a man was found dead on E Elvado Road near Nogales highway, when they responded to a reported shooting.

    They say it happened around 1pm on the 4th of July.

    As of right now there are no outstanding suspects and officers believe they have everyone involved accounted for.
