24-year-old Tucson-native Bailey Bish won 2024 U.S. Adaptive Open title at Sand Creek Station in Kansas on Wednesday.

Bish, who competes in the Neurological Impairment category, beat out a field of 23 golfers. Her score of 69 in the first round was a championship record in the women's division.

"This is just incredible," said Bish. "Three years ago, I never would have imagined I'd be the USGA Adaptive Open champion. "It means to much that adaptive golfers are being recognized in the same way that other greats are."

Bish originally played basketball. As a freshman at Tanque Verde High School, complications from a sinus injury led to an infection. She ended up losing movement in her right side, and developed a neurological condition called dystonia.
