Everett council approves Park District amendments
EVERETT JULY 11: Amendments and ordinances made to the Park District Project were approved by the council last night, after months of planning and community deliberation. Everett Housing Authority (EHA), in working with the Delta Neighborhood Association and Park District developers has worked to create amendments to the project based on community feedback. The amendments include enhancing wetland areas, improving pedestrian connections and ensuring tenant occupancy within the district.
String of Redmond street thefts seem to target older adults walking alone
REDMOND, Wash. — The Redmond Police Department (RPD) is warning older residents after recent street thefts reported in the city of Redmond and surrounding communities. According to RPD, the thefts have all had common circumstances, in which one or two women typically approach an elderly victim walking alone along the street.
Edmonds summer concert series features Seattle Women’s Jazz Orchestra July 14
Next up in the Edmonds’ free Summer Concerts series is the Seattle Women’s Jazz Orchestra, which will perform at Edmonds City Park Sunday, July 14 at 3 p.m. Orchestra members perform jazz standards, Latin and Brazilian jazz, and the orchestra has been showcasing many of the best female jazz artists in the region since 2000. Sheriff’s Office seeking tips to crack cold case of the Pinnacle Lake double homicide
GRANITE FALLS—On July 11, 2006, Mary Cooper, 56, and her daughter Susanna Stodden, 27, went hiking on the Pinnacle Lake Trail near Granite Falls. Later that day, mere hours after they had left their home early that morning, they were both found shot dead in the head on the trail.

More than 30 firefighters put out EV fire at Edmonds car dealership
EDMONDS, Wash. — Firefighters put out an electric vehicle fire at an Edmonds car dealership Thursday morning. The fire was reported around 10 a.m. in an unoccupied EV at the dealership at State Route 104 and Highway 99, according to South County Fire. The car was engulfed in smoke in the middle of the lot, about 50 feet from any buildings, crews said.
