Seattle Residents Wake Up To Poor Air Quality After Fourth Of July Fireworks
The morning after Fourth of July, residents in Seattle, Kirkland, and Bothell woke up to hazy skies and poor air quality. According to IQ Air, the Seattle area’s air quality ranked among the worst in major U.S. cities on Friday. Although the overall AQI was rated as “moderate” at 92 according to IQ Air’s system, many reporting stations in the area recorded AQIs well above 100.
Snohomish County appears set to get first Raising Cane's location
LYNNWOOD, Wash. — After a pair of restaurants in King County, Raising Canes Chicken Fingers says it has signed a lease on its first Snohomish County location. The company confirmed to KING 5 that it plans to open a location in Lynnwood, and has signed a lease. The exact location is not yet known, and the company said it hopes to open the restaurant in the next two years.

Tips sought for 2006 cold-case murders of Seattle mom, daughter hiking near Granite Falls
GRANITE FALLS, Wash. — The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office is asking for tips to help solve a cold-case double homicide that occurred 18 years ago. On July 11, 2006, a mother and daughter were hiking on Pinnacle Lake Trail east of Granite Falls and Verlot.
