1 dead after north Tulsa shooting Tuesday morning

TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department said one man is dead after a shooting in the backyard of a north Tulsa home.

Police say officers found a man in his 50s with a gunshot wound to the head in the backyard of a home near 46th Street North and M.L.K. Jr. Boulevard.

Police say the victim got into an argument and he was shot after the altercation escalated. The victim managed to run back into his house where he died.

Officers and the Tulsa Police Helicopter are in the area tracking leads and gathering information on a suspect with help from the Real-Time Information Center, police say.
