    Tulsa Police investigate homicide after death of man shot near 61st and Peoria on Sunday

    TULSA, Okla. — Police are investigating a homicide after the victim of a south Tulsa shooting on Sunday died Thursday morning.

    Tulsa Police said officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex near 61st and Peoria around 1 a.m. on Sunday.

    When officers arrived, they found the victim sitting inside a running vehicle in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to the head. Officers pulled the victim, identified as Kenneth Taylor, from the car and gave him medical attention until paramedics arrived, Tulsa Police said. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Detectives believe there were multiple suspects firing shots at Taylor while he was inside the car. Taylor died on Thursday morning, police said. Tulsa Police said Joseph Green was arrested on Tuesday for shooting with intent to kill. The charge will be upgraded to First-Degree Murder following the victim’s death, police said.
