    Paving season begins in Tupelo

    TUPELO — With the summer comes another season in the All-America City, paving season. Tupelo officials plan to spend close to $6.9 million between its mill and overlay projects and the city’s thoroughfare program.

    Tupelo City Council voted unanimously to approve two contracts with Columbus-based Falcon Contracting Co. Inc.: a $5,380,706 contract for the mill and overlay of city streets and a $1,535,036 contract for the mill and overlay of Major Thoroughfare Committee streets.
