Legendary college football head coach Nick Saban is enjoying every second of his retirement. After spending nearly three decades as a full-time head coach, including seven national titles, Saban can enjoy the other parts of life.

Since 1973, Saban has been on a coaching staff in some capacity, ranging from Michigan State to LSU to Alabama and even a stint in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins.

Although he is joining ESPN as an analyst , the time of recruiting, practicing, and examining game film is no longer.

On the 4th of July, Saban and his family enjoyed some time on a boat, as his daughter, Kristen Saban, posted on Instagram with the caption that read, "Family 4th." The post includes photos of Saban's family.

But, what caught the attention of many was Saban's appearance. Instead of the clean-cut, shaven coach we have seen for so long, Saban had his hair to the side with some facial hair and a smile.

Fans took notice of the new Nick Saban look.

“bearded coach rock on,” one commenter said.

“We had to wait for retirement to see Coach’s beard? Looking good - all of you!” added another.

“Coach looks so happy and stress free. He deserves it,” said a fan.

“Coach looking like Andy Dufrense after he escaped jail in Shawshank Redemption,” said another.

This is certainly a new look for Saban, and Alabama fans took notice also.

"Coach looking good #RollTide," one fan wrote on X. Another said, "You can just tell how much stress he was holding because he looks 5 years younger and 10 times happier lol."

Nick Saban won the Icon Award at the ESPYs on Thursday, so retirement is going really well for him after decades of being one of the top coaches in the sport.

Instead of worrying about what the Alabama offense and defense will look like and the brutal SEC schedule, Saban can enjoy life and relax on a boat with his family.
