43 days until Alabama football kicks off the 2024 season

In 43 days, Kalen DeBoer will usher in a new era of Alabama Crimson Tide football, replacing the legendary Nick Saban as head coach in Tuscaloosa.

Coach DeBoer and the Crimson Tide will take on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers on Aug. 31 to kick off the 2024 college football season inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Freshman linebacker Jayshawn Ross currently wears No. 43 for the Tide but has yet to take the field in the Crimson and White.

One of the more recent Alabama players to wear No. 43 was placekicker Cade Foster.

Foster played for Alabama from 2010-13 where he appeared in over 50 games. For his career, Foster was a perfect 67 of 67 on extra points but hit on only 56.8% of his field goal attempts. Foster finished with a total of 124 points in his Alabama career.
