Mother Lode Fair Weekend Events
There are several events planned for Mother Lode Fair weekend. As detailed here today, June 27, is opening day for the Mother Lode fair. The hours the fair are open is today and Friday 3 PM—11 PM and Saturday and Sunday 1 PM—11 PM. The buildings close at 10 PM a detailed pocket schedule is here. Entrance tickets are $17 for adults at the gate and get you in to both the fairgrounds and the nightly arena events. There is free trolley service from the Junction Shopping Center.
Emergency Sewer Work To Slow Traffic In Sonora
Sonora, CA –Tuolumne Utilities District (TUD) advises commuters that sewer repairs in downtown Sonora will create parking restrictions on two side streets. TUD crews will be making an emergency sewer repair on S. Washington Street in downtown Sonora from June 30th to July 1st, 2024. This work will be done overnight to minimize traffic disruptions, beginning at 9:30 p.m.

Mother Lode Fair Opening Day
Sonora, CA — The fairgrounds in Sonora will be busy over the next four days during the annual Mother Lode Fair. Fair Manager Kim Helmbold says this year’s theme is 85 Years of Mines, Mills and Memories. It pays tribute to the historical mines and mills in the area, and also Sonora’s title of Queen of the Southern Mines.
TUD Celebrates Completion of New Sonora Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility
Tuolumne Utilities District (TUD) is thrilled to announce the successful completion of the Sonora Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility (SRWWTF). The SRWWTF project represents a significant achievement for TUD and the community it serves. The project, which began in October 2021, has been a substantial undertaking for the district, with the construction of a new wastewater treatment facility capable of treating an average of 2 million gallons of wastewater per day. This $42 million facility replaces an outdated plant built in the 1970s and marks a major milestone in TUD’s commitment to providing efficient and sustainable wastewater management solutions for the community.
Power Outage In Tuolumne
Tuolumne, CA – PG&E is reporting a power outage in the Tuolumne area of Tuolumne County this morning that is impacting nearly 600 customers. The outage runs along Yosemite Road. The lights went out for 590 customers around 5:20 a.m. The utility reports that a crew is investigating the cause of the outage. The company gives an estimated restoration time of 9:45 a.m.
