Tybee Island PD welcomes a bunny cop for the day

TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. (WSAV) – “Bun B” was the first of his kind to be featured as part of Tybee Island Police Department’s #K9ForADay program Thursday.

The TIPD said in a Facebook post, “While we often think of dogs and cats as shelter animals, facilities across the country are host to small animals like Bun B who are also looking for a forever home!”

TIPD started its #K9ForADay program in 2020 by partnering with the Humane Society for Greater Savannah. The department says they have helped dozens of dogs and at least 10 cats since then.
