    National memorial to honor fallen EMS, air medical personnel in Tyler

    TYLER, Texas ( KETK ) — UT Health East Texas EMS will recognize fallen EMS and air medical individuals who died in the line of duty in the past year on Friday at 3 p.m.

    ‘My dreams came true’: Tyler Legacy theatre student becomes national award finalist

    The National EMS Memorial Moving Honors event started in Seattle, Washington on July 5 and will end in Arlington, Virginia to honor 36 EMS and air medical fallen from 18 states across the U.S.

    The temporary EMS memorial will stop in Smith County at AIR 1 hangar at the Tyler Pounds Regional Airport.

    “UT Health East Texas EMS is honored to host the National EMS Memorial Moving Honors this year at our AIR 1 hangar and to pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others,” UT Health East Texas EMS CEO John Smith said.
