    Man indicted for shooting of Tyler 3-year-old

    TYLER, Texas ( KETK ) – A man arrested for a shooting at a Tyler apartment complex that injured a 3-year-old has been indicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

    Darius Jubarn’e Davis, 31 of Tyler, was arrested on March 13 after Tyler Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting at the Liberty Arms apartments on North Broadway Avenue.

    A 3-year-old was shot in the buttocks during the shooting and taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. Before Davis was taken to the Smith County Jail he was treated at a local hospital for injuries reportedly unrelated to the shooting.

    Davis has been indicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
