Logan Township Police to Enforce Fireworks Ordinance
Logan Township Police are reminding residents to be aware of the ordinance regarding the use of fireworks. It is unlawful to ignite fireworks on the streets or sidewalks of the Township. They also cannot be discharged on public or private property without permission of the property owner. They cannot be discharged near a motor vehicle or building, or 150 feet from an occupied structure. And finally, fireworks cannot be discharged by those impaired by a controlled substance. Logan Township Police say they will be enforcing the ordinance and citations will be issued when necessary. The fine for violating this ordinance ranges from $50-$1,000.
