CATA Increases Hours for Service from Centre Region to County Government Buildings in Bellefonte
A recently introduced Centre Area Transportation Authority service providing access from the Centre Region to county government buildings in Bellefonte will be available for more hours starting Monday, July 29. Service from State College to the Willowbank Building and the Centre County Courthouse will now be offered from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., an increase of five hours per day. PennDOT Sets Next Public Meeting for State College Area Connector Project
PennDOT has moved to the next phase for the planned State College Area Connector and will hold its first public meeting on the project since 2022 in August. The department and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) published on Wednesday a Notice of Intent to Prepare an Environmental Impact Statement. The notice initiates the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) phase of project development, which includes preliminary engineering and environmental studies.
