DALE, OR – UPDATE – 7/19 at 1:27 p.m. – The town of Dale is to leave immediately, as fire danger is pertinent. Evacuate south on U.S. 395-B. The Red Cross Emergency Evacuation Shelter, located at Grant Union High School in John Day is prepared to take evacuees.

Ukiah, Ore. -- Updated at 11:50 a.m.: There's now a Level 2 (BE SET!) evacuation for the area from the junction of North Fork Day River Rd and US-395 S, east to the Tollbridge Campground, down south to the county line.

Oregon’s wildfire season is off to a busy start, and it's expected to stay that way the rest of the summer, Gov. Tina Kotek acknowledged at a Friday news conference. A whopping 434,821 acres in 30 large wildfires have burned in the state already this season, in addition to issuing 88 evacuation orders and warnings.
