Eustis High School Plans New Addition: Will Welcome 9th Graders
Eustis High School will begin sending 9th graders to the high school campus in the coming years. Renovation plans intend to add an addition to the high school so that 9th graders who currently learn at the Eustis Curtright Campus will be able to study with 10th, 11th, and 12th graders who are part of the main high school.

Andrea Nelson Appointed Principal Of New K-8 Minneola School Opening In 2025
Andrea Nelson has been appointed as the Principal of the new Minneola K-8 School opening in August 2024. Nelson has been the principal at Sawgrass Bay Elementary. She started her educational career as a graduate of Ball State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Teaching. Upon graduating in 2005, she began working in Osceola County.
Annual School Supply Drive Returns to The Villages
The fifth annual Sumter County Public Schools Supply Drive is returning for three days in The Villages. Since 2020, the drive has supported students from low-income families, raising thousands of dollars worth of school supplies and donations. Last year, over $35,000 worth of school supplies were donated, as well as over $9,700 in monetary donations.
