Summit NJ Micropaving Scheduled for Thursday
SUMMIT, NJ -- The City of Summit stated that Micro-paving is scheduled for several Summit streets beginning on Thursday, August 29, weather permitting. Work will be done between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Roads will be closed during project work and access to driveways will be prohibited until the asphalt application is completely dry. Residents are asked to park vehicles on neighboring side streets before 7 a.m., and during the day/overnight, as needed. Police will be notified of overnight and extended parking on side streets. Temple University's marching band will mark its 100th anniversary by participating at an event that's nearing its own century-mark celebration. The Diamond Band announced Sunday it was selected to be in the 99th edition of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in November 2025, marching the two-mile route in New York City alongside balloons, floats, dance crews, color guards and musicians. This will be Temple's first performance in the parade, which is televised each year on NBC.
