La Porte Eyes Smoke and Vape Restrictions
(La Porte, IN) - LaPorte officials are looking to discourage the opening of additional smoke and vape shops they feel already exist here in great enough numbers. The city council Monday night was presented with a measure that requires any new smoke and vape shops received approval from the city’s Board of Zoning Appeals before opening.
Michiana residents question tornado warning sirens
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - Some Michiana residents are wondering if tornado sirens were activated when severe weather hit Michiana overnight. On Tuesday afternoon, St. Joseph County Emergency Management Agency officials Jim Lopez and Al Kirsits were tallying off all of the outdoor tornado sirens in our area. The 911 center monitors tornadoes along with the National Weather Service.

WALKERTON & KNOX, Ind.-- People are still picking up the pieces after storms and heavy winds rolled through Michiana Monday night. At Kraft Auction Service in Walkerton, off East U.S. 6, the roof to one of the warehouses was blown clean off, leaving a mangled pile of metal on the ground.
