Teacher shaves beard of 19 years for a bet with students
UNION SPRINGS, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Eric Marlowe, a teacher at Union Springs High School, made a bold promise to his geometry class of tenth-grade students. “I told them if 100 percent of them passed the regents exam, I’d shave my beard,” said Marlowe. “And 100 percent of them passed, and it was really exciting.”

After the Iroquois Confederacy was formed and the wars ended, the Cayuga people left, leaving one of the best-preserved fortified villages of the ancient Cayuga people.
