SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A 24-year-old Syracuse man pled guilty to multiple federal firearms crimes Wednesday. According to the United States Attorney's Office Northern District of New York, Mergim Ademi, 24, of Syracuse, admitted that between approximately January 2023 and March 2024, he obtained firearms and firearm parts, advertised them for sale through Facebook and other means, then sold them to customers in exchange for cash, knowing that he did not hold a license as a firearms dealer.

(WENY) -- One person was emergency airlifted from Watkins Glen on the morning of Thursday, August 1st after a contractor's pick-up truck rolled into a 40 foot drop into Lake Seneca in Burdett. Governor Hochul Announces the Start of Construction on a Lead Service Line Replacement Project in the City of Rochester. Governor Kathy Hochul today announced the start of construction on a critical drinking water project to replace 772 residential lead and galvanized drinking water service lines in the City of Rochester. This vital $5 million project is supported by a $3 million Water Infrastructure Improvement (WIIA) grant from the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation (EFC) and will advance the City’s plan to replace all lead service lines by 2030.
