His mother, Alisa Wilson, reported him missing on Friday, August 2, 2024.

According to Mrs. Wilson, she had dropped her son off in Union on June 11, where he planned to hike north along the Allegheny Trail.

He was last seen three days later by his father, Jonathan Wilson.

Since then, there has been no contact from Shayne Wilson.

Senior Trooper L. A. Evans, who is leading the investigation, has entered Wilson into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as a missing person.
