Tennessee softball team wins 14U championship
UNIONVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Ten girls from Middle Tennessee brought home championship hardware this weekend. The Dirt Dobbers out of Unionville, Tennessee, competed in the Panama City World Series last week and was the last team standing in a field of 38 teams of 13 and 14-year-old girls. The tournament hosted teams from Ohio, Alabama, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Indiana, and of course - Tennessee.
Murfreesboro man concerned city’s soccer complex is restricting pick-up soccer games
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Murfreesboro man is planning to address the city council next month over concerns that the city is too often restricting pick-up games. Jim Farley has lived in Murfreesboro for 10 years and claims it’s become increasingly hard to use the synthetic soccer fields at Richard Siegler Soccer Complex without paying a $90 dollar reservation fee.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is encouraging community members to safely dispose of unused medications for their Drug Take Back Day. The CDC reported over 107 thousand drug overdose deaths in 2023 alone.
