Recent Marshfield Police Reports – July 15-22, 2024
MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Marshfield Police Department recently submitted these reports. For more information, please contact the department. July 15, 2024 – Officers responded to Pick n Save for a male who was having suicidal ideations. Contact was made with the male and crisis was made aware. During contact with the male, he also reported a transaction between himself and another party who had given him pills in exchange for money. A protection plan was put in place and charges will be requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
14-Year-Old Bicyclist Struck by a Vehicle on Monday
A 14-year-old bicyclist was struck by a vehicle in the City of Marshfield on Monday. According to a report from the Marshfield Police Department, around 7:09pm on Monday, July 22nd, a vehicle was traveling eastbound on E. Blodgett Street. As the vehicle was approaching the intersection of Blodgett and N. Vine Avenue, the bicyclist rode into traffic.
Marshfield Common Council Discusses Possible Relocation of Marshfield Police Department
The Marshfield Common Council held a special meeting before the regular Council meeting on Tuesday to discuss the possible relocation of the Marshfield Police Department. This has been discussed by the Council for some time. The current building was built in 1981 and is around 18,000 square feet. Lack of space, safety, and ADA accessibility are some of the biggest issues the Department faces with their current building.
