Beginning Sunday June 18, construction will begin at the Towne Centre Drive and La Jolla Village Drive (LJVD) intersection as part of the City of San Diego Morena Northern Pipelines and Tunnels project in University City. Pure Water construction update at UCCA Community Meeting Wed, Jun 14, 2023 at 6 PM; UCCA releases preliminary agenda
The University Community Association (UCCA) will meet on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, via Zoom. This is a public meeting and all are welcome. Our special guest speakers this month include the Pure Water Construction team with information about the construction at the intersection of La Jolla Village Drive and Town Centre Drive. In addition, we’ll have updates from the police department, elected representatives, the planning group, and community leaders.

The UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY PLANNING GROUP (UCPG) will meet on June 13, 2023, at 6 PM. This is a hybrid meeting with the UCPG board required to attend in-person at the Alexandria Grad Labs building, 9880 Campus Pointe Drive, Third Floor, Terra Nova Conference Room; and with the choice to participate in-person or by Zoom for presenters and members of the public. Look Up University City! Take a look at the new SD County Fair Street Banners featuring UCHS Students
The San Diego County Fair returns with new banners and a new theme. This year, 21 UC High School students were nominated by school staff to be featured on the UCCA / San Diego County Fair banners. According to Principal Paredes, staff members were asked to identify a student who exemplifies leadership on campus through their participation in any one of many programs (academic, VAPA, athletic, clubs, etc.). The responses were numerous and diverse. Mr. Paredes notes that they are proud of all Centurions, and honored to have some of the student leaders represented in the community on the County Fair banners.
