Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office mourning the loss of sergeant who died in motorcycle accident
TERRELL, Texas — Kaufman County Sheriff's Office is mourning the loss of one of its own after a sergeant in the department died Sunday. Saturday, Sgt. Daniel E. VanHuss, 37, was driving his motorcycle at an unsafe speed while hitting a curve near the intersection of TX-34 and N Frances St in Terrell, Texas, according to the Texas Department of Safety.

Police arrest suspect in fatal shooting of 44-year-old, Dallas officials said
DALLAS — Dallas Police arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting Sunday, according to a press release. Officers responded to a shooting call at 9 p.m. Sunday in the 9800 block of Bruton Road, police said. When officers arrived, they found 44-year-old Keeman Bowens shot, the release states. He died at the scene.

The red brick walls of First Baptist Dallas Church's historic sanctuary are soot-singed and intact, but only devastation and ashes are found within. At 6:05 pm, the Dallas Fire-Rescue received a call for 1717 San Jacinto street in the heart of downtown Dallas. A second alarm was requested at 6:20 pm. The fire was contained until 7:35 pm when the roof partially collapsed and a third alarm was called. Finally, a fourth alarm was called at 8:14 pm, according to CBS5 News.
