Every Wednesday for the past two years, I have begun my journey in playing piano at the Adams County Arts Council in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. I always wanted to play piano as a child but didn’t have one. And my parents weren’t willing to spend the money to buy a piano for lessons.

Peter S. Carmichael, 58 of Gettysburg, PA passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the York Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Christ Lutheran Church, 30 Chambersburg St. Gettysburg. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, July 26 from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

WOOD TWP. — State police at Huntingdon received a report July 20 concerning the theft of a firearm in the area of Church Street in Robertsdale. The firearm, a black Smith & Wesson MP9 9mm, is believed to have been stolen July 16. Anyone with information about the theft can call the Huntingdon barracks at (814) 627-3161.

18 July 2024- A man with a hefty rap sheet of running from police is now facing additional charges…..for running from police again. Charles Norman Burkett is facing 28 total new charges after PSP charge him with felony fleeing an officer, felony flight to avoid apprehension, misdemeanor resisting arrest, and 25 different traffic citations. He remains behind bars today on $50,000 bail.

Kitten recovering from head trauma after being kicked by Franklin Co. man
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after a kitten was rushed to an emergency vet for head trauma on July 10. According to an affidavit, Robert Clem, 75, of Greencastle has been charged with three counts of cruelty to animals after he allegedly kicked his girlfriend's kitten.
