A Carlisle man tried to stab another man to death after finding him in bed with his girlfriend over the weekend, police said in court documents. Henry A. Gumby admitted to stabbing the man multiple times in the neck and face before officers arrived around 9:16 a.m. Saturday at Gumby’s apartment on the 400 block of North Hanover Street, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
Harrisburg man charged with porch pirating multiple Shippensburg homes
22 July 2024- A Harrisburg man is behind bars today after Pennsylvania State Police say he took packages off multiple people’s homes while trying to pass himself off as a delivery driver. Robert Ricardo Pena was charged with two misdemeanor counts of theft and driving on a suspended license. Pena failed to post bail of $100,000.

William "Bill" E. Mack, 67 of Carlisle was riding a 2018 Harley Davison FLHTKSE ANV north on York Road when he attempted to make a left on Boiling Springs Road — that's when he struck the rear of 23-year-old Carlisle resident, Kirstyn D. Brenton's 2004 Chevrolet Silverado at 1:24 p.m., PSP Carlisle Trooper Jorge Acevedo detailed in the release.
PSP investigating burglary at Shippensburg smoke shop, have two in custody for hindering apprehension
22 July 2024- Two Shippensburg men are facing charges of hindering the apprehension of other men who broke into a smoke shop over the weekend. PSP have charged both Ashley Saintfleur and Steeve Blaise with two felony counts of hindering apprehension, misdemeanor receiving stolen property, misdemeanor tampering with evidence, and felony aiding consummation of crime. Blaise was also charged with misdemeanor resisting arrest, misdemeanor evading arrest on foot, and misdemeanor marijuana possession. Blaise failed to post bail of $85,000 and Saintfleur failed to post bail of $50,000. Both remain behind bars in Cumberland County.

Several road closures scheduled due to repaving project in Gettysburg National Military Park
GETTYSBURG, Pa. — The roads in a portion of the battlefield at Gettysburg National Military Park will be closed next week for a repaving project, the park announced Monday. Beginning on Monday, July 29, park roads on the eastern portion of the battlefield in the Culp’s Hill and Spangler’s Spring areas, Coster Avenue, and Benner Hill will be repaved. This three-month project will address road surfaces that are at the end of their lifespan.
