David “Dave” R. Myers 1943-2024
David “Dave” R. Myers of Waynesboro, PA went to his eternal home on Tuesday July 16, 2024. He is now at peace in the arms of Jesus Christ, his Savior. Born September 20, 1943 in Williamsport, MD, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Gladys (Stenger) Myers.
Obituary: Jane Riley Green
Ane Riley Green, 93 of Gettysburg, PA passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Transitions Healthcare after a long illness. Born in Gettysburg on September 28, 1930, she was the daughter of the late James F. & Margaret A. (Miller) Riley. Jane was predeceased by her husband of fifty-five years, Robert F. Green, who died in 2005. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. Years ago, she enjoyed going to Boydâs Bears on the Emmitsburg Road and gazing out the window to look upon what was once her familyâs farm where she grew up. After working for several years at various sewing factories, she kept busy tending to her pet companion, Speedo and her chickens. She loved her family, making coffee runs with her late husband and visits with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jane is survived by her three children, Robert Green (Phyllis) of Gettysburg, Lou Ann Brown (Jeff) of New Oxford, PA and Larry Green (Linda) of Gettysburg, five grandchildren, Travis Green (Tracy), Kevin Green (Molly), Julie Bly (Jason), Seth Green (Katie) and Sadie Green (Ryan Wagaman), eight great grandchildren, Hannah, Bailey, Cate, Emily, Chase, Trent, Leigha and Amie, sister-in-law, Althea Riley and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Denise Ferguson, a great granddaughter, Steph Green and her five siblings, Edgar Riley, Anna Riley, Betty Harner, John Riley and Robert Riley. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 22, 2024 at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg. Interment will follow the services in the Evergreen Cemetery. A Viewing will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 AM. Online tributes and condolences can be made at monahanfun.
