Police: Suspect in attack found dead
HANCOCK — Police found a Quincy Township man dead in his home Monday, the day after he was suspected to have committed a string of politically motivated crimes in Hancock. Hancock police had received a message from someone at the man’s Samson Street address wanting to “confess a crime involving an ATV driver within the last 24 hours” and also to “send someone to pick me up.” Police had circulated photos of the driver after several incidents Sunday, including vandalizing two cars and running over a 80-year-old man on Anthony Street.

In a significant move reflecting local heritage and pride, the historic Benjamin Franklin statue, a cherished symbol of Chambersburg’s resilience and history, has found a new permanent home. On August 6 from 4-7 pm, Cumberland Township is excited to host its second Open House and National Night Out! The event will be held at 730 Chambersburg Road, Gettysburg, at the old Gettysburg County Club. Chambersburg Hospital nurse charged with falsifying medical records of patient who died
18 July 2024- A woman who was, at the time, a nurse at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital is facing charges from the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General following the death of a patient and questions being raised about morphine amounts. Sara Rae Miller has been charged with three misdemeanor counts of furnishing false/fraudulent material information. She is being served a summons for this case and has not been arraigned.
