Family tries locating meaningful jerseys accidentally donated in Hopkinsville
HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Karen Sutton is exhausting every resource she can attempting to locate her son’s football jerseys that were supposed to be turned into a sentimental graduation blanket. The jerseys were accidentally donated to Goodwill on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville, with no leads on who may have purchased them.

Oweh says ‘no-brainer’ transferring to Kentucky
LEXINGTON, Ky. (KT) — Otega Oweh eventually wanted to play at the next level and considered it a “no-brainer” when he decided to transfer to Kentucky. “The history is so rich,” Oweh said. “The plan that coach (Mark) Pope had for the program — I was really intrigued with it at the end of the day with Kentucky. I want to be a pro. I mean, this is one of the best places in the country to do that.”
Baptist Health breaks ground on facility designed to streamline healthcare for patients
Baptist Health, in partnership with Dallas-based Intuitive Health, has broken ground on its third dual emergency and urgent care facility. The 11,400-square-foot Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care Glenmary will be located on Bardstown Road in Louisville and is scheduled to open in the summer of 2025. The project follows the successful launch of the Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care Jeffersonville in Jeffersonville, Indiana, in 2022, and the Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care Blankenbaker in Louisville in 2023.
Upton man wanted by State Police
A LaRue County man is wanted by the Kentucky State Police following the recent launch of a statewide drug operation. Designated Operation Summer Heat, all 16 KSP posts participated in the event following a three-month investigation into suspected drug trafficking rings. Preliminary results released indicate 206 arrests; 490 charges issued; and the combined seizure of 554 grams of fentanyl, 219 grams of cocaine, 4,862 grams of methamphetamine, 41 grams of heroin, 40 grams of spice, 2,931 fentanyl pills, 50 hydrocodone pills, 64 oxycodone pills, 90 hallucinogens and 14 firearms. The street value of the illicit drugs seized is approximately $684,953.50. Additionally, $37,159 in cash, $10,000 in stolen tools and one stolen vehicle were recovered.
