Olympic basketball women's semifinals: Bracket, schedule, times and how to watch

The women's basketball tournament at the 2024 Paris Olympics has hit the semifinal round, with four of the world's best teams battling for a place in the gold medal game.

Friday's pair of games at the Accor Arena in Paris will sort who contests the tournament final, and who will end up in the bronze medal game.

Team USA entered the Summer Olympics as overwhelming favorites to win gold for the eighth straight time, and they've played like it. The United States swept through group play with three double-digit wins, and then downed Nigeria by 14 in the quarterfinals. In women's basketball at the Olympics, Team USA has won an incredible 59 straight games.

A'ja Wilson is averaging over 20 points a game and put up her third double-double of the Summer Olympics in the quarterfinal victory over Nigeria. Breanna Stewart isn't far behind, averaging 18.5 points per game, while guard Jackie Young delivered 15 points against Nigeria after head coach Cheryl Reeve started her over veteran Diana Taurasi.

The other semifinalists are Australia, Belgium, and host nation France. Australia (five medals since 1996) and France (winners of two medals in the last three Olympics) are regular contenders for a place on the women's basketball podium. Belgium, meanwhile, had never won a knockout-round game in this event until Wednesday's 79-66 upset of Spain.
