The NFL preseason is complete! There are plenty of highlights (and lowlights) from the final exhibition week to break down, including:

Trey Lance . Hoo-boy! The former No. 3 overall pick uncorked five interceptions in the Dallas Cowboys ' loss to the Los Angeles Chargers .

New England Patriots QBs. Jacoby Brissett ? Drake Maye ? It might not matter who wins this QB competition given the state of the offensive line.

Spencer Rattler . The New Orleans Saints ' rookie fifth-round pick saved his best preseason outing for last, completing seven of his 13 attempts for 105 yards and a touchdown.

Bryce Young . The Carolina Panthers QB completed 6-of-8 passes for 70 yards and a touchdown, driving the Panthers down the field for a score in his lone preseason series. It was a positive beginning to 2024 for 2023's top pick following last year's disastrous campaign.

What else stood out this weekend? USA TODAY Sports ' Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz presents the winners and losers from preseason Week 3 .

By 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, NFL teams must reduce rosters to a maximum of 53 players. The moves made on the league's annual cutdown day will certainly mark either a significant setback or the full end of the NFL road for many of those who receive that unwanted call.

While the majority of those who will be sent packing will be undrafted free agents and other unproven hopefuls, several players who once figured prominently into their respective teams' plans could also be headed out. USA TODAY Sports ' Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz has nine notable players who could be on the chopping block in advance of Tuesday's roster cutdown deadline.
