Michigan State basketball is adding to two twin brothers from Okemos to the roster, and it’s all thanks to MSU legend Andre Hutson.

Tom Izzo went to a game between East Lansing and Okemos back in February, where he went to see the sons of Andre Hudson and Kelvin Torbert. It was there where he first got to watch Brennan and Colin Walton play for Okemos.

In a recent media session, Izzo said it was Hudson that planted the bug in his head about bringing the Waltons in to talk:

“My guy Andre Hutson… Andre says, ‘Man you know, those guys are are pretty good, you know,” Izzo said. “Then I heard they were going to Central [Michigan University], but not to play. I kind of that we should get them over here and at least talk to them.”

Now, the twins, who didn’t even plan to play college basketball anywhere, will have an opportunity to play at MSU and learn from a Hall of Fame coach.
