Joe Burrow’s comeback drive ends in TD to Tee Higgins

That didn’t take long.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow made his long-awaited return from injury on Saturday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and marched down the field for a touchdown on the very first drive.

It was reasonable to expect some rust from Burrow after an offseason of rehab. Yet he hardly fired an incompletion on his way down the field before finding Tee Higgins for a touchdown.

Yes, it’s only preseason action. But Burrow isn’t likely to suit up at all in the remaining two exhibitions due to the joint practices with multiple teams in the coming weeks.
