As Shane Steichen said on Friday, Colts’ quarterback Anthony Richardson and the starting offense played for two series against the Broncos.

Overall, Richardson was 2-for-4 passing for 25 yards. He had a scramble as well off of play-action that went for one yard with Richardson getting out of bounds.

On the first series, the Colts’ offense would go three-and-out.

The drive started with a two-yard run by Jonathan Taylor. On second down, the Broncos sent a blitz with the linebacker coming through untouched, forcing an immediate pressure and an incomplete pass.

Then on third down, Richardson threw an incomplete pass to Kylen Granson on an intermediate crossing route. The throw appeared to be a bit high and out in front.

On Richardson’s second series, the offense was able to pick up a first down before having to punt.

The drive started with Denver again blitzing, but this time it was picked up, creating a lot of space over the middle, where Richardson found Mo Alie-Cox, who made a defender miss, and picked up 19 yards.

After moving the chains, the Colts ran play-action, but with no one appearing to be open, Richardson left the pocket and scrambled for a yard before being pushed out of bounds. Second down was another rush attempt for Taylor, which picked up two yards.

Facing third and seven, Richardson completed a pass to Granson for six yards. However, the pass seemed to come out a bit late and was a little behind, slowing Granson up.

Joe Flacco took over at quarterback for Richardson on the third series of the game.
