Israel Adesanya finds himself in a new chapter of his career after failing to reclaim the middleweight title from Dricus Du Plessis in Saturday’s UFC 305 headliner.

Adesanya (24-4 MMA, 13-4 UFC) is yet another example of how quickly the tide can turn in MMA when he suffered his third loss in his past four fights when he succumbed to a fourth-round submission against Du Plessis (22-2 MMA, 8-0 UFC) at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, raising serious questions about his future.

Although Adesanya was in good spirits in the aftermath of his defeat and vowed to push forward in his career, he is going to have to face some hard truths with himself now that he is on a losing skid for the first time in his MMA career.

What does the future hold for Adesanya now that he is further away from the belt than any point in recent years? Watch the video above for thoughts and analysis on his future after UFC 305.
