The 2025 recruiting class for the Alabama Crimson Tide took a bit of a hit Sunday afternoon, as the program lost a commitment from one of the top prospects in that group, Jaedon Harmon.

Harmon, who had been committed to the Crimson Tide since April of 2024, flipped his commitment Sunday from Alabama to the Tennessee Volunteers.

Rated as a four-star prospect, Harmon is considered as the nation’s No. 155 overall prospect in the class according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, as well as the No. 18 linebacker nationally.

Harmon is also the No. 19 player in the state of Georgia where he attends Rome High School.

After the decommitment of Harmon, Alabama’s 2025 class now sits at 19 total commitments, which still ranks as the nation’s second-best behind only Ohio State. Alabama also has four linebackers remaining in the class with five-star Darrell Johnson, who is joined by four-star’s Dawson Merritt, Abduall Sanders Jr., and Luke Metz.
