ESPN predicts every outcome for LSU's 2024 season

ESPN’s Football Power Index now includes predictions for every game on LSU’s 2024 football schedule. Here is how it thinks the Tigers will do this Fall.

A lot of people around the country are high on the Tigers this season. After back-to-back 10-win seasons, Garrett Nussmeier, Brian Kelly, and the LSU Tigers look to reach new heights this fall as the Tigers want to play for an SEC Championship and contend for a national championship.

ESPN’s FPI is unfortunately not as high on the Tigers. Officially, ESPN’s FPI has LSU finishing the regular season with an 8-4 record. The four losses would be on the road against Texas A&M, at home against Alabama, at home against Oklahoma, and either in the season opener against USC or on the road against Florida.

Their projected W-L is 7.9-4.2. Going 8-4 in the regular season after back-to-back 10-win seasons would be a letdown for this team. I don’t think that will happen, though. I think the Tigers will handle A&M, Florida and USC. Alabama and Oklahoma will be two knock-down, drag-out type games.
