In the latest edition of “What’s Going on in Boulder Today?” the Colorado Buffaloes and head coach Deion Sanders have lost their only special teams coach.

According to multiple reports but first reported by Sports Illustrated , the Colorado Buffaloes recently saw quality control analyst Trevor Reilly leave the program. Usually, the loss of a quality control analyst would not be of note.

However, Reilly was Colorado’s quality control analyst for special teams and was the only coaching staff member whose sole focus was special teams. According to Bill Connelly’s SP+, the Buffaloes had the nation’s 73rd-best special teams unit last year .

This season, the Buffaloes will look to bounce back from a 4-8 record in Sanders’ first season as head coach in Boulder. Nebraska will host Colorado at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 6:30 p.m. CT.
