Kaulig Racing has started to finalize its driver lineups for the 2025 NASCAR season, which began with A.J. Allmendinger. Last week, Kaulig Racing announced that Allmendinger will run full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series during the 2025 season. It was the first announcement from the NASCAR team, as the other full-time entry in the Cup Series is more uncertain.

According to FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass, Ty Dillon “shouldn’t be ruled out” when it comes to the No. 31 Cup car for Kaulig Racing in 2025. Dillon and Kaulig Racing were unable to finish a deal for 2024 but has made some select Cup Series starts this season. Daniel Hemric currently drives the No. 31 car and sits 30th in the point standings.

Pockrass indicated that Kaulig Racing’s ride will likely come down to sponsorship, which could affect Dillon’s chances. It will be fascinating to see what Kaulig Racing decides to do with the No. 31 Cup car moving forward. With Allmendinger already under contract in 2025, it leaves one opening for Hemric, Dillon, or another driver in the Cup Series.
