Five-star guard Grace Knox sets Longhorns official visit date (report)

The Texas Longhorns women’s basketball 2025 recruiting class could add a talented guard to the mix in the coming months. The Longhorns are preparing to welcome five-star recruit Grace Knox to campus for an official visit in mid-September . She had narrowed her list down to four schools in July but had not set a date for any visits.

Over the last few years, Knox has seen her stock rise as she has added to her trophy case. As a freshman, she led Spring Valley High to the NIAA 5A semifinals, averaging 13.9 points and 9.8 rebounds. After missing her sophomore season, Knox returned to action during the 2023-2024 campaign and provided a reminder of how good she is. The California native averaged 17.2 points and 11.9 rebounds as a junior.

While the Longhorns have made their interest in Knox well known, they do have competition. Knox will also visit LSU, Tennessee, and USC before making a final decision. One of the biggest things Knox will look at during her visits is the coaching staff.

“Being able to bond with the coach that I’d want to play for and have passion with,” Knox told On3 . “The style of play is really important to me – just knowing that I can fit into the program and knowing that I can thrive and become my best self is really important. Location isn’t a big thing for me. I’m willing to go wherever in the country.”

If Knox chose Texas, she would be joining a 2025 class that includes Aaliyah Crump. Adding her to the mix would give the Longhorns one of the best guard combinations in the country. Over the next few weeks, Knox will be one player to watch.
