Alabama legend Nick Saban makes his College GameDay debut

It’s been eight months in the making, but college football is finally back! The Alabama Crimson Tide’s 2024 campaign doesn’t start until they host the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers next week, however, the Week 0 slate starts today with the Florida State Seminoles taking on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in Dublin, Ireland.

College GameDay made the trip across the pond for their first show of the year where former Alabama head coach and the greatest coach of all-time Nick Saban made his debut. It was a very cool moment as Alabama graduate Rece Davis introduced Saban to a very excited crowd.

Of course, there are mixed emotions knowing that Saban won’t be on the Alabama sidelines this fall, but he does such an outstanding job on television too. So, it will be a ton of fun getting to watch him on GameDay all season long.

We will all miss Saban this year, but having a great coach like Kalen DeBoer in charge of the program helps settle some of those worries.
