UNC quarterback commit has big opening game of high school football season

With the North Carolina Tar Heels getting set to open up their 2024 season at Minnesota on Thursday , future commits have already begun their season in high school.

That includes four-star quarterback commit Bryce Baker who is one of North Carolina’s top players for the 2025 recruiting class. Baker committed to North Carolina in 2023 and since then, he saw his stock rise which resulted in a jump in the recruiting rankings.

The quarterback could see another bump in updated rankings as the year goes on, especially if he’ plays like he did in his season opener. Per Inside Carolina , Baker had a big game in East Forsyth’s 44-0 win over Wake Forest Heritage:

Bryce Baker – QB – Kernersville (N.C.) East Forsyth High
    Record : 1-0
Result : beat Wake Forest Heritage High, 44-0
Statistics : completed 81.8 percent of his throws for 292 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions

Baker led the way among UNC’s commitments for the 2025 class for this past week. It’s great news for North Carolina as a rising prospect continues to play at a high level before he even gets on campus.

Let’s hope Baker can continue to play like this for the rest of the season.
