Any Texas high school player wants two specific offers: Texas and Texas A&M, which was the case for running back Jadarian Price.

He absolutely dominated at that level, rushing for close to 5,000 yards and 55 touchdowns, but the Aggies didn’t offer or really recruit him. That disrespect has fueled Price, who enters the season as one Notre Dame’s top two options as the position.

As an athlete, you use anything to motivate you, and Price is using the fact that A&M didn’t reach out to him as some. When the nation’s No. 201 overall player according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings is in your backyard, you make a big effort, which wasn’t the case.

Price recently explained that he has a “little chip on his shoulder” ahead of Saturday nights contest.

You can’t blame the young man about wanting more attention from one of his home state schools, but what A&M’s loss was clearly the Irish’s gain.
