Despite Texas A&M’s 2024 season-opening 23-13 loss to Notre Dame on Saturday night, the Aggie’s top 2025 recruiting class commit, 5-star quarterback Husan Longstreet , remains confident in the program’s future during his weekend visit.

Joining over 100 prospects from the 2025, 2026, and 2027 recruiting cycles who descended on College Station, Longstreet’s standing with the program remains paramount. Still, after the poor showing from the Aggie offense on Saturday night, it was fair to worry if any doubt may have entered his mindset.

Again, this is one game under new head coach Mike Elko’s coaching regime, and credit to Longstreet for looking at the bigger picture. The incoming senior signal caller posted on his X account that nothing had changed regarding his Texas A&M commitment.

Currently positioned as the No. 1-ranked prospect in California, according to 247Sports, Longstreet’s live arm, accuracy, and impressive athleticism led to one of the more productive 2023 seasons, throwing for 3,013 yards and 24 touchdowns while rushing for 645 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground.
