Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown on 'NFL Rivals' Season 2

The Kansas City Chiefs are set to take the field in Week 1 of the NFL’s 2024 regular season against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday but will be without wide receiver Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown for the highly anticipated matchup.

Brown, who sustained an injury in the preseason that will keep him out of the game, sat down with Chiefs Wire last week to talk about NFL Rivals, an officially licensed video game of the National Football League and NFL Players Association.

Brown described the experience that NFL Rivals offers and compared it to a cult-classic game that many fans might remember from the mid-2000s.

“NFL Rivals is like an arcade-style football game,” Brown explained. “It’s real fast-paced [and] fun. You have like a gym, you build your team up and squad up and play, and it’s mobile, so that is what’s exciting about it for me, it’s pretty fun.

“With this game, you build up your team, and it’s like your own individual card like you can sell that card and you compete it reminds me of NFL Street, arcade-type of style. It’s fun building your squad and getting the guys you want on your team and being like that [general manager] sort of.”

When asked if he is a player who fans can add to their team, Brown answered in the affirmative.

“Yeah, I’m definitely a player that you should add to your squad,” Brown said.

NFL Rivals is free to play, has over 5 million downloads and over 115 million games played since it launched, and is available in the App Store and Google Play Store.
