Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love suffered an injury on the third-to-last play of Friday night’s season-opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Love’s lower body appeared to get twisted awkwardly as he was taken down while lateraling the ball to Josh Jacobs. He remained down on the field in pain and eventually needed assistance getting off the field. The NBC broadcast showed Josh Jacobs and trainer Nate Weir helping Love off the field and back to the locker room after the Packers lost to the Eagles, 34-29.

Coach Matt LaFleur was unable to provide an immediate update on Love’s condition following the loss.

    “I don’t know. I don’t know,” LaFleur said post-game.

Backup Malik Willis handled the final two snaps after Love exited. He threw incomplete on the first and then was sacked as time expired on the final play.

Sean Clifford is the No. 3 quarterback on the practice squad.

Love had issues with his footing for most of the night. The playing surface at Arena Corinthians in Sao Paulo was slick.

The Packers will fly back home to Green Bay before welcoming the Indianapolis Colts to Lambeau Field for the home opener next Sunday.
