    Giants remain slight home underdogs vs. Vikings in Week 1

    The New York Giants opened as a 1-point underdog for their 2024 regular season opener against the Minnesota Vikings at MetLife Stadium this Sunday afternoon, per BetMGM .

    That line has increased slightly to 1.5 as the week has progressed.

    The over/under opened at 41.5 points. It’s down slightly to 41.

    The money line is currently Vikings -125, Giants +105.

    As of the present time, 53 percent of the bets were on the Vikings at -1. 53 percent favored the Vikings on the money line as well.

    The Giants finished with a 6-11 record last season and drew the sixth overall selection in the 2024 NFL draft. The Vikings were 7-10 and drew the ninth pick.

    The Giants were 8-8-1 against the spread last season. The Vikings went 7-7-3 ATS.

    64.7 percent of Giants games went under in 2023 while 58.8 percent of Vikings games were also under.

    Minnesota has won the last four regular season games in the series, but the Giants won the most recent meeting — the 2022 NFC Wild Card Game.

    The Giants are entering their 100th season in the NFL in 2024. They are 51-43-5 in season openers and 4-10 in MetLife Stadium openers.

    The Vikings are 35-27-1 in Week 1 games since entering the NFL in 1961.
