Popular ‘Summer Fest’ Returns to Owensboro, KY with Fun Changes
Last year, My Sister's Keeper, Owensboro's newest emergency shelter for women and children, held its inaugural Summer Fest fundraiser at The Cottage, just outside the city limits. Summer Fest 2023 was an all day food and music festival that raised money for the shelter, which opened earlier this year at 2820 4th Street. This year, the hours of Summer Fest have been scaled back, but the event is still going to be action-packed- from start to finish- with food, fun and entertainment.

West Louisville park getting grant from African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville's Chickasaw Park is getting thousands of dollars in grant money from the African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund.
